Moving...

We are now working on moving to Steamboat Springs, CO where we have friends who live there that have started a home Bible study using a Podcast by Calvary Chapel East Side’s Pastor, Robert Case, from Washington. There have been a few families attending the Bible study and we hope to be a part of it eventually. We are moving on July 3rd to Steamboat Springs and are currently looking for jobs along with potential housing. We will move in with some friends who moved to Steamboat from Washington. Our plans are to find our own place after living with them for a few months depending on what we can afford (we have been living on no income for the last 5 months). The town is quite expensive, but God has all the money in the world. If He wants us there - we will be there. We visited Steamboat this last Easter to pray with our friends and seek God on what He wants us to do. I, Lauren, was not too sure about moving out there. It didn't take too long though for God to give me a peace about it. More and more we are falling in love with the place and the people without even being there. God has given us that love that we need to serve the people. While we were there we learned a few things about the town of Steamboat. It was originally a "cow-town" and still is, but the majority of it is a ski town that has produced over 69 winter Olympians. The town is quite money-driven and seeking everything except Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. We have a desire to be a part of the community, developing relationships with the people of Steamboat, and eventually planting a Bible-based church that teaches verse-by-verse through the Scriptures. We encourage you to pray for Steamboat Springs and what God is gong to do through us. We all have the same desire of seeing the Bible study growing into a church that will provide the town of Steamboat Springs with the Word of God. There is so much to tell and we hope to keep in touch with you as we embark on a new journey moving to and living in Steamboat Springs.
