This is where we eat breakfast lunch and dinner. typically we get oatmeal and toast for breakfast. Lunch we always have some kind of soup with a sandwich. the soup is always so good because it is always so cold. lunch we always get some awesome meal - like tonight we got lasagna with rolls and ice tea. last night we got rice and breaded chicken with mixed vegetables. meals are always very yummy!
Us girls are always making baked goods. We have a women's study every Thursday up here at the Camp for Calvary Chapel North Fork. This last Thursday was a girls birthday. Our cook (melissa) who is in this photo made these really awesome chocolate peanut butter cookies and....

we she made a huge chocolate chip cookie for her cake. it was so awesome just to bless the birthday girl, Shauna... She is 13 and says that at the school she goes to she seems to be the only Christian. she is having a really hard time, but is finding out that God will take care of everything. She attends the Bible study with her mom because her mom has her on Thursdays (her dad just left them and they share custody). If you think of her please prayer for her and her mom, danna. It is a true blessing being able to bless and encourage others in the Lord. Ultimately He is our only hope and the best we can hope in. everything else will fade away.

This is me and the cook, Melissa, with the other cook, Sherah, who is a student. It has been fun getting to know everyone and hard at the same time... because it just ain't like home, but we have been brought together by one common bond: Jesus Christ and that is what makes getting to know them such a blessing. All the girls try to get together once a month as well just to be united. "how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity"
- Psalm 133:1

alright enough about food. This is the church in hotchkiss, Colorado - Calvary Chapel North Fork. We rent the senior citizen center. Wess has become the youth pastor which you will already know from previous blog posts. The congregation is like a family and everyone is super super friendly. I have taken over the hospitality part which i had know idea i would like, but i really enjoy blessing people with beverages and baked goods :) it creates fellowship that might not have happened without it (funny how food makes fellowship happen). The congregation consists of people from the surrounding cities such as paonia, hotchkiss, delta, crawford, and so on. Usually on Sunday we grad a bite to eat in town typically at this place called Zack's (its is a yummy BBQ restaurant). This sunday one of the bus boys, Vince, gave his life to Christ because the students are not ashamed of the Gospel.

The guy on the right of this picture is the student, DJ, who led vince to the Lord. He has the gift of evangelism and if you think about him, pray for him as well. alot of these students came out here to Colorado to get away from distractions and sins that they were living in. They are being strengthened up here so much that we want to pray that they would continue in the strength of the Lord when they leave this place. Jeff Christianson is the guy in the middle. He is the pastor/director of the camp and the bible college. it has been a blessing to serve alongside him.

This is the children's ministry led by a student, Terra. she has not only been a blessing to the church, but in my life. We have started meeting every tuesday morning to pray and go through the scriptures. she will be staying here with us at the camp during the summer to serve. We have been praying for this summer's camps that we hold. we have three weeks set aside for youth camps where youth come from all over to meet new friends and develop a stronger relationship with the Lord.

and this is all of the students and me and wess. We are really developing good friendships with theses students and hope to direct them to God daily by our examples. We love to encourage them in the word and just to hang out with them. some of them go hiking, running through the mountains trails that surround us and some of them drive into the nearest town, Paonia, to develop friendships with the locals. it has been such an awesome month and we hope to continue in updating you. Thank you for taking the time in reading about what is going on. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Please write us as well - we love emails and let us know if we can pray for you. remember to continue in the word of God and be greatly encouraged by it.
"he who heeds the word wisely will find good and whoever trusts in the Lord, HAPPY is he."
- Proverbs 16:20
